Kefir, Spinach & Fruit Smoothie

This simple smoothie is loaded with probiotics and energy to boot up before your workout. Kefir is a fermented milk-based drink that is high in probiotics to aid digestion and gut health.

It also provides heaps of vitamin B5, choline, calcium, phosphorus and potassium. Spinach boosts vitamins A and K1, folate, manganese and potassium, while the blueberries and bananas add some sweetness along with vitamins B6 and C, copper, manganese, potassium and antioxidants.

Ingredients 

SERVES 2

  • 1 cup kefir
  • 1 medium green banana
  • 115 g (4 oz) spinach
  • 60 g (2 oz) blueberries
  • 1 tsp inulin
  • 6 drop stevia (optional)
  • 1 cup of water

Directions 

  • Place all ingredients in a blender.  
  • Blend well and serve.
