Chunky Monkey Smoothie

This shake is the epitome of dessert in a glass.  Creamy yogurt and spicy-sweet maple and cinnamon combination make for a great meal replacement or pre-workout fuel.

Protein powder and Greek yogurt provide a solid dose of protein, bananas provide carbohydrate, and cocoa, peanut butter, and pancake syrup add decadence!

Ingredients 

SERVES 1

  • 1 banana
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 2 tsp peanut butter
  • ½ cup nonfat plain Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ¾ cup water

Directions 

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for one minute. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
  • Optional: Add sugar-free toffee flavour to taste.
